| Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen this is Geeky Panda, and i'm bringing you what I hope to be a very helpful and informative guide on a confusing thing for newcomers. Combat. ------------------------------------------------------------- First off, the in-game hotkeys for said combat can be found by pressing the large red, 'Help' button in game. But, since I don't doubt the laziness in you all... ------------------------------------------------------------- A is to Attack. Simple, right?
D is to Defend yourself from attacks. Cool. ------------------------------------------------------------- W is to use what's called a Power Charge. I like to refer to it as a 'Power Skill', since if it is used in combination with A, it is used to create a very lethal attack. With D, it is used to fend off a direct attack with a parry. Easy to understand.
Q is to use a Speed Charge. It serves basically the same purpose as the power charge, except instead of a power attack, it's a dash attack. Instead of parrying an attack, it dodges it, how successful the dodge is depends on your defense, for the most part. ------------------------------------------------------------- SPs. The unimportant extra stat points you get to spend over time. They have little effect on your actual character, but they do make a very large impact. Use them wisely, and gain them over time by training, fighting, and training Non-Combat Skills. ------------------------------------------------------------- Styles. ------------- Styles. They are a frequently raised topic over OOC, such as, "How do I get a style?", or, "Can I make one?". The answer to those questions are quite simple, in fact.
To acquire a Style, you need to roleplay with a Headmaster of your selected Style, and if he deems you a worthy subject of the Style, he'll teach you his style with a press of a button!
Now. Can you make one? To put it simply, no. The average player cannot create their own style. Players with a special grant from Administrators can create Styles.
Styles basically grant the player who's using said style, certain boosts determined by the Headmaster. These could be weapon boosts, pre-determined stat boosts, or any other thing Smiles might not be telling us. ------------------------------------------------------------- A word of advice though, make sure that your style actually has Roleplay-Significance. Try to roleplay the creation of the style itself. Roleplay training it when you do. -------------------------------------------------------------
This has been the Geekiest of Geeks, in the form of a Panda, writing his first guide to hopefully help others out there that were stumped about the game. Thanks for reading and I hope it has helped.
P.S, Guys. Please don't power game and spend a week training yourself. It takes fun out of the game. P.S.S, Timing is key to a good fight. | |
