Ok. This is a important matter. Somthing that's turned my view on this wipe upside down. I mean seriously.
You see people having characters below the age of 14, running around winnng tournoments and teaching children. Children teaching children? Please. And then I see one wearing a huge buster sword on his back... You really have that much stamina (Im not saying any names))
I would like to start like.. a strike or request.. I guess.
Make a rule on this. Do you really want 3 year old Samurai Warlords running around Edo and Yokohama? Common. Pump up the age this is ridiculous.

I guess 10 years old is a bit too young, but still during that time period I'm pretty sure there was nothing wrong about a 14-16 year old military leader, since the land so chaotic back then ^^

I'm not disciminating OOC age. I'm discriminating IC age. Its hard to take anything seriously when a kid is teaching a dojo full of kids, holding a ginourmos sword.

It just looks off and if you ask me it turns off my mood to RP. If this is allowed.

Well, if I RP a rank or somethin', I neglect the age it says on my character. I RP an age between 25-35 when it comes to such things.

When it comes to RPing a nonrank, I RP being absolute suckage and just the basics of 'swordplay' or what ever else I'm doing.

Yesterday, it took three assassins to take out one thirteen year old dojo master and each assassin was at least twenty.. We struggled.

I think there should be a rule about dojo masters being in their 20s-40s+. Honestly, that's bullshit. o_O;;

I agree, and then again, about the three assassins.. The 13 year old dojo master was wearing a sword 3/4th his size...

I think your making a big deal out of nothing hear...why dosent the age of the person just get bumped up to 20+ when they get a certain rank, I mean, in the beginning of a wipe with no shogun or dojo master is a little weird......

I actually like the change your age option... minimum 10 max 45 ? That way characters can be a certain age as long as they have a decent backstory ? or whatever... also the rank as age thing.... but honestly i think Age should be instead a factor of how long you live, like every character is given a life span randomly at the begining of the game and after so much time they die and have to remake like they would if they died in battle...

It might be weird. but imagine Edo being run by kids. You'll see a 12 year old Shogun who's strongest in the land (not saying there is one, just a example) then his elite guards are what? 5? It's not cool.
This is why a few characters that i've witnessed including myself have quit the Dojo. It's not cool. Seriously, If you want to be a 13 year old badass samurai.. be a student.

You also said that player who was 13 years old where beating players 20+ well....theirs nothing you can really do about that....the kid just trains more, you cant just take away that characters IC talent or training just because it dosent seem 100% logical, but what you could do, is everytime a person gets a year older, give him some life Sp or something, because as people age they do get stronger, wiser, ect so if a guy is 20 he should be able to overpower the 13 year old from just being older (Considering he trains and RP's well) But then theirs always the thing that a 13-16 year old could maybe beat an older 55-60 year old or something...

Let's take a look at the system Mabinogi has, you can start at the age of 10 to 18. If you are 10, you will be weaker than someone that starts at 18, but you will eventually be stronger at the age of 18 than the guy was, due to the fact he had not trained before he was 18, and you trained for 8 good years, which most likely overrides the starting stats of someone who begins at the age of 18.

That's cool. However. This guy was 13, not willing to age at all and spar whored to be as strong as he was.
Not even that good an RPer and he was being granted opportunities that others should've had that had a decent character who wasn't 13.
The only reason he became dojo master was because there was like 6 people on for the little assessment for it.

The only reason he became Dojo master was because he spar whored and became super strong, and then tryed to become dojo master, and yes only about 6 people tryed but he only won because the dojo master was chosen by a verb tourney.....

I actually hold strict to the fighting rules in that tournament, everyone had to do the 3 lines of RP before starting, and in my eyes, the current dojo master did that well enough.

3 lines of rp is all good but the fights should have been full rp instead of
rp-verb-rp or else the winner WILL be the strongest spar whore instead of the best rper

It dosent matter if he's weak, that can be changed with rewarding him w/ sp's or something, knowing how to rp is MUCH more important
