Let's see how long this lasts. | Tue Oct 06, 2015 10:29 am by Misuke | Hey all!
Been a while since I bothered posting here, since there was absolutely nothing I could do to revive the game from the state in which it was left. That has since changed, and I now have access to the means to better the game, and bring it to the state in which it was originally meant to be played.
I do hope regulars and newbies alike welcome the changes I plan to bring, and continue to …

Ikou Era Apology | Fri Nov 25, 2011 3:59 am by AllSmiles | Hello, faithful Ikou Era players. I am sorry for being so inactive to the production of Ikou Era, me slowing down with updates had affected all of us. I doubt, I can make it up for your patience and your unbreakable loyalty to someone that had been made by my brain. Ikou Era is my first original project and it is one of the most proudest work I had done, this project was the result of my …

| In my opinion, not everyone should be able to make their own styles, just use what they have been taught. The ranks, like Dojo Master etc. , would be the only ones that can create their own styles and actually teach them to people. This prevents people from making overpowered styles (Like me -cough-) without being anyone in the world of Ikou Era. It also adds a little more realism. | |

| I agree with this, not everyone should be able to justome up with a fighting style. I think that SOME normal players should be able to though. Maybe make it so that ranks automatically can, but when you make you have like... I don't know say 6% chance that you're gifted enough to make them. | |

| I don't particularly think that the title of "Gifted" should be a percentage upon making. Who's to say that a noob won't get it, make a style, and tear people up, then get banned? Wouldn't exactly be the most fun thing in the world. I suggest a way that is again, controlled by admins. It could work like, if a person has RP'd to their fullest potential, they should get a shot. It would also be kinda' stupid to see someone that is 30'000 times stronger than someone else not be able to make a style, yet the other person who just made, would. | |

| I personally don't think that creating a style should be limited to a "gifted" group of people. Most styles were formed by regular people. Look at Ninjitsu and Jujitsu, for example, these styles of combat were formed by peasants that were being oppressed by the Shogunate. They had no upbringing in fighting or any type of natural prowess in combat. The best warriors used sticks before swords or staffs. Just my opinion though. | |

| You guys are acting like I made up the ''gifted'' people, I just want the ranked people to be able to make them. Not you, nor me, would be able to make up an actual working combat style right now, we'd have to know the basic, advanced AND professional techniques of combat before even being able of thinking about one, then to actually be able to do it is another story. | |

| Actually, I'm a Black Belt in Judo and Karate, and a Brown Belt in Jujitsu :I. I'm sure I could come up with something. | |

| I agree with limiting style creation. Personally the way I see it there need to be masters. More than just one though. I like to look at things kind of like Rurouni Kenshin universe. You can have a Dojo Master, who can teach worthy RPers an advanced style, and then above her, random "roaming" masters, these guys would be hermits who live out in the wilderness and have very advanced styles alot like Kenshin's Master. TBH I think style creation should be limited to the upper tier RPers. | |
