Let's see how long this lasts. | Tue Oct 06, 2015 10:29 am by Misuke | Hey all!
Been a while since I bothered posting here, since there was absolutely nothing I could do to revive the game from the state in which it was left. That has since changed, and I now have access to the means to better the game, and bring it to the state in which it was originally meant to be played.
I do hope regulars and newbies alike welcome the changes I plan to bring, and continue to …

Ikou Era Apology | Fri Nov 25, 2011 3:59 am by AllSmiles | Hello, faithful Ikou Era players. I am sorry for being so inactive to the production of Ikou Era, me slowing down with updates had affected all of us. | Ah yes wonderful fireworks. They explode and create a lot of colors, fun yes? Now although that is nice and all, thinking about it, they could easily be used as weapons as well. For one, it would probably freak people out to have stuff blow up right in front of them, and probably will hurt...actually it would...quite a bit. Also it will probably temporarily blind somebody allowing an escape or a surprise attack..after all who expects something to blow up in front of them and then suddenly get attack? Nobody that's who...except maybe the paranoid people on drugs. Anyways now I am sure some people will be wondering, okay that is cool and all but were fireworks in Japan during the 16th and 17th centuries? Well the question is yes. In 1659 a man named Kagiya started a family business and was a really good pyrotechnic. His abilities became widely known in Japan and his student, Tamaya, was almost trying to constantly out-do him. So they were almost constantly trying to create grand spectacles of explosive colors. Unfortunately for Tamaya, during one incident, he burned village houses to the ground and was banished. Now that the history lesson is over, I just think it would be a really cool thing to have for festivals, impressing people, or making up for the fact that the person you are fighting has a super death sword with a super death style and you have no way to win besides using underhanded moves like that. Just a way to...level the playing fields.

| yeah but theres two things. 1 Smiles=head iconer is missing, so i doubt they can mobilize. 2 did people actually used fireworks in feudal japan to fight?.
anyway if it was other kind of game, it would be rather interesting to have it

| Now although this may be a bad example, in Samurai Champloo Fuu did use a fireworks bomb to help Jin and Mugen against a large group of generic enemies with sharp objects. | |

The game is not longer based in champloo, Misuke told he was working in an IE manga storyline or something.

| Well besides that, I really cannot think of any particular recorded use of it. But something close would be ninja smoke-bombs...however I am pretty sure somewhere somebody was an evil cheating person like me and used fireworks for weaponry. | |

| Fireworks were invented during the fuedal era, I believe even before that. If it existed, why not fight with it? | |
