Festivals!

It's all in the name.
Festivals, each every so years. Games, fireworks, contests so much to do!
Beer drinking contest, eating contest so much to do!

I like that idea actually... kinda like maybe preplanned events ?

Yeah with like, icons for it. Sprinklers, fire crackers. ;o FIRE BREATHERS. Y'know them performers? Limited item stand and lots of other things, we want the festival be some thing players will want to stay on CIE for.

I like this idea.
If there was a way to code a system to either automatically or be enabled via a command to change the way the towns are set out and turn them into "Festival" mode where everyone's relaxed and there's no fighting(besides drunk people, no 10 year olds.) sparring. It'll just be good old fashion RP.

Not really. I actually thought it out. Just make the icons. Map out the festival area, make custom shop keepers for th elimited items. It's gonna be epic!
There's two ways we could activate the festival. Shogun of the town has a button that uploads like, a new map i guess (may take a short turn of lag) Then automatically all tthe things apear.
OR.
We make a special area for the Festival. Where it's locked all the time till the actuall moment the festival starts.

I REALLY like this idea.. but like you say, there could be a bit of difficulty in the way this could be implemented. However, the easiest way to fix it would be the latter of what you mentioned...
Have the map already created, put it inside of a building or what not and lock the door. Only the event admins have the key to allow people inside the festival.
It'd have to be inside, or a completely new area that people are led to when it's on-going, I think.

It should be a forted area, with huge walls. i still want it outside. It wont be as good inside.

Yeah, outside would be a lot better. It'll be some Harry Potter shit if it's inside.

I like this idea too, I think the normal items should not be for sale, and the shopkeepers give gifts, such as a free firecracker, if you talk to them, this would only work once per festival

NAH Firecrackers should work even when its not the festival. It's to feel the ''aw i got this from the festival, it was so epic yesterday'' feel. And there should be contests or mini events for tickets, with the tickets you can buy stuff like a festival hat = 10 tickets.
