Let's see how long this lasts. | Tue Oct 06, 2015 10:29 am by Misuke | Hey all!
Been a while since I bothered posting here, since there was absolutely nothing I could do to revive the game from the state in which it was left. That has since changed, and I now have access to the means to better the game, and bring it to the state in which it was originally meant to be played.
I do hope regulars and newbies alike welcome the changes I plan to bring, and continue to …

Ikou Era Apology | Fri Nov 25, 2011 3:59 am by AllSmiles | Hello, faithful Ikou Era players. I am sorry for being so inactive to the production of Ikou Era, me slowing down with updates had affected all of us. I doubt, I can make it up for your patience and your unbreakable loyalty to someone that had been made by my brain. Ikou Era is my first original project and it is one of the most proudest work I had done, this project was the result of my …

| See, I personally like the idea of having fighting styles. It creates uniqueness with everybody character. But, if the players don't really role play the uniqueness or show why it's different from everything else, then what is the point?
So, this idea came across my mind. I mean, sure, it has its flaws and strength, but here is why I'd like to make this change.
If you take away the fighting styles and create pre-set fighting stlyes for headmasters, then the players will have to go to the headmasters to learn whichever one they want. If there is a good headmasters, they will have to role play to move up within the style. They will have to gradually increase their skill.
But, if the players want to create their own unique fighting style, then have them role play making it and practicing it. So, once they practice enough, an admin can unlock their ability to make a fighting style. Because in reality, you kinda just don't randomly create a fighting style and be good at it. You have to train.
This will force players to roleplay a lot more and reduces their ability to lulspam A to train.
Also, you can have some general, less advanced training styles for random players. For example, a orthodox fighting style for unarmed people, etc. A pre-set thing of course, so the players don't have to rely on admins for styles, etc.

| Again sounds interesting im beginning to like this idea. However i would rather say doing it more Bleach rp style. A ranked player (in this case headmaster) or an admin has to take a decition ,if the player is good enougth for it and not troll around, then in that case they could unlock style. (sometimes even the worst scum knows to rp decently.)
Pre-setted style also sounds amazing, i have no objections to that topic.

| What i meant is that you can´t give them style if they are noobs/trolls beacuse if they get style, they would probably abuse it. | |

Well, if they are noobs or trolls abusing it, then an admin can simply strip or nerf. I mean, they will have to work for their style anyway, so not a lot of people will have a custom style, since it'd probably be a lot easier to learn from a headmaster(Assuming if that was re-implemented)

| If something players are, is persistant. They will cry, shout flood and other kind of childish action just to get the strongest thing. Same as people does when asking for weapons at the smith shop | |

| It's called Player-Count. It needs to be higher for this, or else it'll be a student per headmaster with multiple head masters, or a head master with what, four students.
Right now the most important thing to do with Ikou is have it attract more players instead of lose them gradually.

It's not hard to get players. I mean, I could just go onto SSO and advertise, and there will be a lot of people on Ikou era for a period of time. The problem is keeping the player base. Back in the day when there were headmasters, etc... That kept the player base. How the game is now isn't going to keep the player base. Ikou era doesn't really have a legit rp feel to it
